Asus EEE Top RAM Upgrade
A couple of months ago i bought the Asus EEE Top all-in-one touch based computer. As most other Atom based nettops it came with only 1Gb of internal memory, so I decided to give the RAM upgrade a go.
To open up the back cover you need to remove a total of 4 screws in addition to the 4 in the desk stand. The four screws around the edges are covered with silicone or rubber that are about 1cm deep. Just use a sharp knife or something similar to lift them up.

To remove the back cover, i used a small screwdriver to push it off through the small holes in the edges. You shouldn’t have to use any excessive force to do this.

It’s not that easy to see, but there is actually two ram ports beneath each other, for a total 2Gb of internal memory. As you may notice, there’s actually a hidden modemport next to the network port.
When you get this far, it should be a snap to upgrade the harddrive as well.
